Continuing to Chrome it up!

We are about 5 weeks into the school year and we have witnessed great success with our Chromebooks at Saluda Middle School. Students are maintaining the responsibility of bringing them to school daily and keeping them charged and teachers are enjoying digifying their lessons so that the Chromebooks can be used.

All content areas are using Chromebooks. In ELA students are using Google Draw to create character trait maps and publish poetry on their class blog. I math, students are using GIS software to look at deer-car collisions and analyze ratios and proportions. In science the students report enjoying PearDeck - an interactive presentation software. The list goes on!

Students self-reported that they enjoy the ability to work at their own pace with their Chromebooks and find themselves being more engaged in the content when Chromebooks are involved.
